Since 1990, Leigh has lived between Japan and the U.S., spending several years at a time in both countries. Her experiences living in Japan and in her home country help her understand and appreciate the issues facing those living abroad.
Leigh has experience working with adults, families, and children, with a focus on children between the ages of 3-12.  Her approach is a combination of a psychodynamic orientation with Eastern philosophy as well as attention to the relationship between mind, body, and spirit.  However, she incorporates other approaches depending on what is most helpful and appropriate for her clients; with children she also often uses Play Therapy and Expressive Arts techniques.
