ICC is connected to other therapists in the Kansai area as well as in other parts of Japan. When you contact ICC, we may feel that because of your particular situation or location it would be better for you to see one of the other therapists in Kansai. ICC therapists also belong to International Mental Health Professionals Japan (IMHPJ), a national organization of professionally trained therapists serving the expatriate and foreign communities in Japan. IMHPJ has a 2-fold purpose. For our clients and community it provides a way of locating therapists and verifying their credentials. As all participating therapists agreed to abide by the IMHPJ code of ethics, it gives the community an assurance of appropriate behavior and a venue for bringing complaints if it is felt that a therapist has behaved unethically.
